MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca, which was an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He was a part of the team together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo comes from an instrumental background. Both his mother and elder brother are musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has said that music is an essential part of his life. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from the help of a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
